Communications Director

Before becoming Communications Director for the Truman Project, David Solimini served as Media Director of Operation Free, Truman’s advocacy effort on energy and climate issues. Prior to joining Truman, Dave worked as a strategist for numerous campaigns and non-profit organizations, where he held executive and communications positions. In addition to client work through his company, ADco Creative Productions, Dave has done advocacy, political, and consulting work for statewide and federal campaigns in New Hampshire, Virginia, Arizona, and Louisiana. His experience covers media relations, speechwriting, graphic design, branding, photography, and new media development. He co-founded Virginia21, the country’s first generational advocate for young voters, ran the Virginia Redistricting Coalition in support of bipartisan redistricting reform, and served on the senior staff of Brian Moran’s campaign for Governor.  Dave holds a BA in Government from the College of William & Mary. He and his wife live in Washington, DC.
