Security Fellowship. The Truman Security Fellowship is a highly competitive leadership development program for exceptional individuals who show promise to become our country’s future progressive leaders and are committed to advancing Truman internationalist policy over the course of their careers.

Congressional Security Scholars. The Congressional Security Scholars Program is a premier leadership development program for Hill staffers, intended to build a generation of congressional staff with a broad understanding of current defense, foreign policy and national security issues.

Intern Springboard. The Springboard is a leadership development program for summer interns in Washington, intended to arm a new generation of policymakers and politicos with a firm grasp of national security issues and the philosophical tradition of strong progressive national security thought.

Security Briefing Book. The Truman Project’s Security Briefing Book is a one-of-a-kind tool for political practitioners, Capitol Hill staff, and the broader national security community. It outlines the 21st century solutions to America’s national security and foreign policy challenges.

Guidance for Communicators. Even the best policies require effective communication. Leaders around the country have come to rely on our guidance and background to build the public case for 21st century national security policy.

Media & TV Preparation. Mass media communication on national security is particularly challenging. Our professional training staff and community of media experts have extensive experience with prep, booking, and media relations.

National Security 101 and Custom Trainings. Whether it’s a brief refresher on the basics of national security or a deep dive on emerging issues, we can provide beginner, custom and issue-specific trainings for you and your organization.

Executive Agency Training. From their first day in office, Administration officials must be prepared to tackle extraordinary foreign policy challenges. Our Executive Agency Training program helps new administration officials hit the ground running.

Security Bootcamps. Bootcamps are full-day or weekend-long educational workshops for state and local political candidates and progressive organizations of all sizes.  They are specifically designed to ensure that progressives from a wide range of organizations and issue areas are able to communicate effectively on security issues.
