Truman National Security Project to host TruCon20 in Austin, Texas

A Message From Truman President and CEO Jenna Ben-Yehuda about TruCon20

For the first time ever, Truman National Security Project will host its annual conference, TruCon, outside of Washington, D.C. Following a robust bidding process in which our chapters submitted proposals to host, I’m excited to announce that TruCon20 is heading to Austin, Texas!

Now more than ever, we know that national security decisions impact Americans in communities across the country, not just in Washington. By taking TruCon on the road, we’ll be doing our part to build a nationwide national security constituency rooted in progressive values.

Texas was a natural choice. In addition to having a strong Truman chapter and large presence of active members, Austin sits at the crossroads of big issues Truman is working hard to champion, such as innovation and national security, immigration, climate, and democratic governance. These are issues that will shape the future of U.S. global leadership and Truman is the face of that leadership. We also know that securing positive outcomes in these areas is directly tied to a Democratic House and Senate, so we’ll also be working to help turn Texas blue.

So, join us for an exciting program brimming with cutting-edge issues, talented members, and robust new partnerships, not to mention some really great music and BBQ. We can’t wait to build on the success of TruCon19, where we convened a record 400 members, partners, and allies, and welcome you to Texas.

Stay on the lookout for more details, including partnership and sponsorship opportunities, and panel submission guidelines, in the weeks to come.

We can’t wait to see y’all in the Lone Star State next spring!

Thanks,
Jenna
