Washington, DC -- Upon the passing of philanthropist Herb Sandler yesterday, Truman Center and Truman Project President and CEO Jenna Ben-Yehuda issued the following statement:
"We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Herb Sandler, a longtime friend and generous supporter of Truman Center for National Policy. The values-driven investments of Mr. Sandler and his late wife Marion both started and sustained a number of critical thought leadership and advocacy institutions in U.S. civil society today. We are grateful for not just the Sandler Foundation's continuous investment in our organization since 2008, but for their willingness to lead by example in funding and guiding the good fight on a spectacularly diverse range of issues. Mr. Sandler's wisdom, generosity, and commitment to these good causes will all be sorely missed."
