American leadership, at home and abroad, are up for debate. Questions of war and peace, law and order, and diversity and pluralism have divided our government and our nation. Now more than ever, we all must speak loudly and clearly in favor of living our values. Against this backdrop, Truman Center for National Policy and Truman National Security Project are convening our nationwide community, and we would like to invite you to participate in this conversation at TruCon19. This year, Truman’s annual conference will be held from 14 June to 16 June at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center.
On Friday 14 June—our public day, open to members of the broader progressive movement, national security field, and the press—please join us to hear from leaders inside and outside our community who live and lead with their values at the local, state, and national levels. Then, on Saturday 15 June and Sunday 16 June, programming for our members will continue with trainings, presentations, and panels while also working towards a shared articulation of our vision for national security and foreign policy in 2020 and beyond.
