Congressman Deutch and Lt. General Don Kerrick to Pressure Congressional Republicans on Defense Spending
Palm Beach, Fla. – On Wednesday, August 29 at 1:30pm ET, the Truman National Security Project will host a stand up press event with Congressman Ted Deutch (D-19) at Veterans Park calling on congressional Republicans to avoid pending defense cuts by working with Democrats to enact a truly balanced approach to deficit reduction.
Rather than compromise on a plan to avoid Sequestration, Congressional Republicans continue to prioritize tax cuts for millionaires over national security funding while blaming the Administration for the cuts they voted to impose. Congressman Deutch and former Deputy National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Don Kerrick will call Congress to protect our national security by avoiding Sequestration’s across-the-board defense cuts.

Rep. Ted Deutch, Congressman for Florida’s 19th district
Lieutenant General Donald L. Kerrick (ret), former Deputy National Security Advisor to the President
