Millennial Leadership Organizations to Host Future Party: A Gathering for Rising Progressive Leaders
Charlotte, NC – The Truman National Security Project, New Leaders Council, the Roosevelt Institute and other millennial leadership organizations are hosting an evening for young progressive leaders at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte on Tuesday, September 4, 2012.
Event sponsors include the Truman National Security Project, New Leaders Council, NewDeal Leaders, ProgressiveEconomy, Young Elected Officials, Roosevelt Institute, Campus Progress, Washington Monthly, LeftJab Radio and Ruck.us.
The event is targeted at young Democrats under 40 who will be at the Convention in Charlotte. The Future Party is a way to bring these groups together to network, make new connections and have a good time.

The Young Elected Officials (YEO) Network is a project of People For the American Way Foundation which consists of over 700 young, progressive city, county, state and federal officials under 35 from all 50 states. The Network’s mission is to unite and support leaders under the age of 35 who share a passion for building communities that reflect the values of freedom, fairness, and opportunity. The YEO Network helps propel young electeds along their path to becoming effective public servants. By exchanging ideas, networking with like-minded elected officials, developing leadership skills, and connecting with policy development organizations and think tanks, members are empowered to transform their political vision into progressive action.
Roosevelt Institute | Pipeline is a new way for young professionals to connect to the progressive movement that empowers and provides them with exciting opportunities to create change in local communities, insert new ideas into the political dialogue, and build strong professional networks. Pipeline currently has chapters in over 14 cities.
The NewDEAL is a national network of 100 rising state and local elected leaders who are pro-growth progressives—leaders with innovative ideas to build broadly-earned, sustainable economic growth.
