Truman Project Vice President to Testify at California Senate Joint Committee Hearing on Energy and National Security
Camarillo, CA – TODAY, September 27th at 10:30 a.m. PT, Mike Breen, Vice President of the Truman National Security Project and spokesman for the clean energy campaign, Operation Free, will testify at a California State Senate Select Committee hearing entitled, “Energy Security: California, Business and Military Partnerships.” Breen will be joined by local business leaders and military officials who are working on new, innovative technologies that will help stimulate the local economy and strengthen America’s national security.
California State Sens. Fran Pavley (D-Agoura Hills) and Lou Correa (D-Santa Ana) will chair the hearing and highlight recent clean energy efforts by the state of California, including passage of the Energy Security Coordination Act (S.B. 1409), which will prompt the governor to implement policies that increase energy security with the DOD.
