Eric Lesser is Special Assistant to White House Senior Advisor David Axelrod, a job he has held since January 20, 2009. Prior to entering the White House, Lesser served as David Axelrod’s Special Assistant during the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition. From January 2008 through November 2008 Lesser worked as the Obama Campaign’s Ground Logistics Coordinator, where he was responsible for all equipment and other logistical support for then-Senator Obama, his traveling staff and traveling press corps, visiting forty-seven states, six countries, and traveling over 200,000 miles. From June 2007 through January 2008 Lesser was a member of Sen. Barack Obama’s Campaign Advance Team, where he was responsible for organizing Sen. Obama’s campaign events during the 2008 New Hampshire Primary. He graduated from Harvard College in 2007 with a degree in Government. While at Harvard he served as President of the College Democrats, overseeing all on-campus organizing for the 2006 elections, including Deval Patrick’s 2006 race for Massachusetts Governor. Lesser also founded a public policy research center at the Kennedy School of Government’s Institute of Politics. He is originally from Queens, NY and grew up in Longmeadow, MA. He lives in Washington, DC.
