Karen Naimer

Karen Naimer is the Edmond J. Safra Faculty Fellow in Ethics at Harvard University for 2007-2008. Previously, Karen was an Adjunct Associate Professor at NYU's Center for Global Affairs, where she taught public international law. Prior to teaching, Karen served as Deputy Counsel at the Independent Inquiry Committee into the United Nations Oil-For-Food Programme (the Volcker Commission), where she investigated allegations of widespread corruption, money laundering, and fraud by high-level UN officials, members of the Security Council, and national governments, and oil companies. Karen clerked for President Theodor Meron of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, and prior to that, she served as an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Karen received an LL.M. from New York University School of Law; a J.D. and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Toronto; and a B.A. from McGill University.
