WASHINGTON, D.C. — This morning, the Truman National Security Project proudly announced our official endorsement of Jeremy Newton for election to Santa Rosa City Council District 5 and Pavan Parikh for re-election to Hamilton County Clerk of Courts.

“Jeremy is a dedicated public servant as a Navy Veteran, an advocate through his labor union, and Vice Chair of the Santa Rosa Housing Authority,” said Tony Johnson, Truman’s President and CEO. “He is dedicated to promoting affordable housing, sustainable economic development, and providing opportunities for underserved youth, added Angelic Young, Truman’s Vice President for Community and Impact.

Jeremy embodies the dedication of a public servant through his service to the US Navy, membership of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, Airline Pilots Association labor union, Vice Chair of the Santa Rosa Housing Authority, and dedication to providing opportunities for residents of Santa Clara.

As Hamilton County Clerk of Courts, Pavan Parikh has focused on increasing access to justice, improving customer service, modernizing the Clerk’s office, and ensuring that the Clerk’s staff reflects the diversity of Hamilton County. He wants to continue his work in the court for the long term and has goals to turn the system around and make it more efficient for residents of Hamilton County.

“Pavan is dedicated to improving transparency, increasing accessibility, and fostering innovation to reduce barriers to justice for all in Hamilton County,” said Tony, “We know he shares our Truman values and will bring those to the office as Hamilton County Clerk of Courts.”

Both Newton and Parikh are long-time members of the Truman National Security Project. They’ve earned their endorsements through their demonstrated commitment, integrity, and record of public service - and their election would represent a win for national security.
