Truman National Security Project endorses Rep. Jason Crow for re-election to represent Colorado’s Sixth District in Congress and Jessica Morse for election to represent California’s Third District in Congress

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This morning, the Truman National Security Project proudly announced two new official endorsements: Rep. Jason Crow for re-election to represent Colorado’s Sixth District in Congress and Jessica Morse to represent California’s Third District in Congress.

“Jason has a long track record of public service as an Army Veteran and incumbent to this office,” said Tony Johnson, Truman’s President and CEO. “He has promoted criminal justice reform, works to preserve our democracy, and remains passionate about our country resuming its global leadership position in international institutions while promoting human rights and democracy abroad. Angelic Young, Vice President of Community and Impact, added, “Further, as a member of the Truman National Security Project, Class of 2013, we know Jason shares our Truman values and will continue to bring those to the office of Colorado’s Sixth District.  His re-election to Colorado’s Sixth District in Congress would be a win for national security.”

Jason sits on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Foreign Affairs Committee, serving as the Ranking Member of the Oversight and Accountability Subcommittee. He serves on the Democratic Caucus’s National Security Task Force and is Vice-Chair of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force.

As a fifth-generation Californian, Jessica’s deep commitment to delivering wildfire resilience results for her community and her decade-plus years of experience in national security make her uniquely qualified to lead. “Jessica doesn’t shy away from hard issues,” said Angelic. “Through her humanitarian and national security background, she understands what it takes to build resilient communities, and she’s brought that unique perspective to her work reshaping wildfire policies. She has the relationships and deep understanding of the community critical to this role,” added Tony.

Both Crow and Morse are long-time Truman National Security Project members and have earned these endorsements through their commitment to public service, integrity, and demonstrated expertise.

We enthusiastically endorse their candidacy.
