Truman National Security Project endorses Rep. Kristine Reeves for re-election

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This morning, the Truman National Security Project proudly announced our official endorsement of Rep. Kristine Reeves for re-election to the Washington House of Representatives.

“Kristine has a long history of bringing strong strategic leadership to Washington State as a third-term legislator, a small business owner, and an equity and inclusion consultant,” said Angelic Young, Truman’s Vice President for Community and Impact. “She has a track record of promoting problem-solving over partisan politics and putting people in her communities first. Further, as a member of the Truman National Security Project, Class of 2016, we know she shares our Truman values and will bring those to the office of Washington State Representative. Kristine’s re-election as State Representative would be a win for national security.”

Among her accomplishments, Reeves has been a fierce champion for working moms, veterans, and military families, and growing economic opportunity. She passed legislation protecting military reserve members from losing paid leave from their civilian jobs to avoid punishing them for serving our country; led efforts to reduce childcare costs in the state of Washington; and continues to prioritize affordable housing and infrastructure repair for the communities she represents.

Reeves, a long time member of the Truman National Security Project, has earned this endorsement through her integrity, expertise, and passion.

We enthusiastically endorse her candidacy.
